This Is Love is book two in the Harmony Pointe series. While it is a standalone, the first book in the series has characters that cross over into this book and I seriously adored the first one so why not read it. I love how this author interweaves her series and characters from other books and just has this massive world of stories that connect. The fact that I have a soft spot for bodyguard books meant that I did not put this down until I got to the last page.

Remi Divine is an actress who has some serious problems. Plagued by a persistent stalker, her very overprotective big brother Aiden has hired her bodyguards that make her feel more trapped than protected. After escaping from her bodyguards a few times, her brother gets her a bodyguard that she can’t get away from in the form of the very tempting Mason Swift. Soon it’s not only her life that’s in danger, it’s also her heart.

Mason is all set to think that Remi will be a diva but what he finds is a sweet, vulnerable and warm woman who has a huge heart, whose friends are a pivotal part of her life, and gives of herself to her fans. With Mason as her bodyguard, Remi is worried that she’ll be stifled like with her previous guards, but Mason allows her to be free while keeping her protected and teaching her things about herself and making her fall for him.

He cradled her face between his hands, kissing her deeply as he loved her. And oh, how he loved her. He was tender and dominating in equal measure, lighting her up like she’d been living in the dark.

Remi, even though she is an actress, has lead a bit of a sheltered life. Losing her parents at a young age, she was raised by her brother and always tried to be a good girl, never wanting to be more of a burden than she believed she was. Mason has his own scars as a kid who spent most of his time being shuffled in the foster care system and no real family to call his own. Seeing these two characters connect and heal each other makes my heart happy. Mason is super swoony and Remi is a supremely likable character. I fell in love with these two very quickly as well as the gang of characters of her friends who are more like family.

As they try to keep their relationship secret from the public, they face ever increasing danger from a stalker that’s becoming more unstable and the tension mounts. Honestly, there are hints and curveballs throughout the book, so you’re never entirely sure who the stalker is which really built up the suspense. I loved how the story played out and that ending was so good and so poignant, it just makes me anticipate the next book even more. I love this cast of characters and you see so much potential for the other characters to tell their stories as well. Five stars for a sexy bodyguard and his Princess.
