She was off limits,
But he couldn't resist.

There are just some guys you don't touch--even someone as innocent and inexperienced as Ella Shaw knows that. But when her brother's best friend is up for grabs and willing, she can't resist. After all, she's wanted him for years...

On leave from the army, Tyler Dare is just looking for a little fun, but his best friend's sister is off limits. Yet unable to deny how sexy and alluring she is, he finds it all too easy to succumb to a night of passion and heat that ends the next morning in the worst way possible.

Now, Ella is stranded on a tropical island with a hurricane bearing down, and only Tyler can save her. It's his chance to make amends for the past and show the woman he's never forgotten that he's coming after her . . . in more ways than one.

Dare to Take is the sixth and final book in the Dare to Love Series. Each book can be read as a stand-alone. It’s a second chance/ best friend’s brother, romance that I thoroughly enjoyed.

This is the story of Tyler Dare and Avery’s (his sister) best friend Ella Shaw. When Ella is 18, slightly inebriated and full on in lust with her best friend’s brother, she sneaks into Tyler’s room and they end up making love. Afterwards, Tyler pushes her away, hurting her feelings, and Ella runs from him. Tyler leaves for the army the next day and the two spend years avoiding one another.

Years pass and while Ella is working on the island of St. Lucia, she is mugged and ends up in hospital with a concussion as a hurricane approaches. Worried for her friend, Avery sends Tyler to get Ella off the island and back home, not knowing about their past encounter. Tyler, not wanting Avery to suffer more anxiety, figures that this could be the opportunity for him to apologize for what he did, not realizing that Ella has believed that their night together was so horrible because she was a virgin.

There’s quite a few miscommunications between the couple. Tyler has a habit of running away and Ella finds it hard to trust anyone. But when they reach Miami and Ella’s life is danger, they soon realize that what happened in St. Lucia was no mere mugging and she must trust Tyler with protecting her life, while guarding her heart.

Great ending to the series and I’m really hoping that there will be more novellas in the future for the Dare family.
