A typical day in the life of Charley Davidson involves cheating husbands, missing people, errant wives, philandering business owners, and oh yeah...demons, hell hounds, evil gods, and dead people. Lots and lots of dead people. As a part time Private Investigator and full-time Grim Reaper, Charley has to balance the good, the bad, the undead, and those who want her dead. In this eleventh installment, Charley is learning to make peace with the fact that she is a goddess with all kinds of power and that her own daughter has been born to save the world from total destruction. But the forces of hell are determined to see Charley banished forever to the darkest corners of another dimension. With the son of Satan himself as her husband and world-rocking lover, maybe Charley can find a way to have her happilyeverafter after all.

I never said I’d die without coffee. I said other people would.
If you follow my Facebook page, you’d know that I am absolutely addicted to the Charley Davidson series. Every chapter of every book packed with laughter, amazing characters and addictive writing. The eleventh book in the series does not disappoint. Charley is starting to embrace the idea that she is not only the Grim Reaper but a Goddess and knowing that her daughter will need a powerful army at her side, has begun learning more about her powers with Reyes, her sexy son of satan hubby ready to give her all the lessons he can to prepare her. Even if it means tossing her off a building. No one ever said that life was going to be easy.
“Payback is a bitch, and her name is Charley Davidson.”
As the series has progressed, the twists and turns that it has taken have kept me on pins and needles and that doesn’t stop with this story. From a trip to the Sahara, to the mystery of Uncle Bob to Amber having a stalker(!), and Charley’s newest client who holds the key to her husband’s kidnapping as a child, is there anything else that can get thrown in? And holy crap, those sexy times in this book! Swoon. I revere Reyes, even when he gets alpha and prickly. If I’m being truthful, it’s especially sexy when he gets all alpha *grin*. There are these moments between them that makes my heart beat speed up and wish for a relationship like theirs.
“Magnificent.”
“What?” I floated back to the ground to join him and turned around to see what was behind me. “What do you see?” Reyes shifted and stepped to me. “You, Dutch. I see you.”
That ending! What!? I have to wait how long to the next book?! Ugh, the agony. You can just feel the author building us up for that last book and getting us ready for something epic. Charley and Reyes, Cookie and Ubie, Osh and Beep. I am so ready to know where this series is going. As always, Jones has left her readers magnetized by her words and thirsting for more. I need more Charley fix!
“Hey, boss.” Sammy poked his head in. “Fryer’s on the fritz again.”
I perked up. “Did you check the carburetor?” Gawd, I was so helpful.
He laughed softly and shook his head. “Davidson, did you stop taking your medication again?”
“Why? What have you heard?”
5/5 stars spellbound stars.
