Caroline
Becoming a teen mom at sixteen was not what I expected, but then again, neither was being a single parent. Still, I wouldn’t change my past because that boy is my world.

Hockey is the only thing my son seems to care about, so I work two jobs to make sure he can play. I’d do anything to make sure he doesn’t suffer because of the bad decisions his father made.

When he won a whole summer of hockey training, I knew in my heart he was going to have an amazing time.

What I wasn’t prepared for was meeting his new summer coach.

He was magnetic, powerful, and a player—in all forms of the word.

If my life had taught me anything up to this point, it was how to avoid making bad decisions, and Justin Stone was the definition of a bad decision.

I could never be a woman his family approved of. Even if I wished I could be.

Justin
Growing up as the son of a hockey God is one thing. Growing up as the brother of a second hockey God is another. I had big skates to fill, so it was a good thing I loved every second of it.

Summer was my off time, my time to let loose, but when they ask me to coach a hockey camp for underprivileged kids, I couldn’t say no.

But when she walked in holding a little boy’s hand, my heart stopped beating. Or maybe it started for the first time.

They were a package deal, and I knew this—wanted it more than I’ve ever wanted anything. It didn’t take long to realize that no matter what happened,

I would do anything to protect them.

She is the only one I want to be with.

When push comes to shove, I have to prove to everyone that this is my choice, and This is Forever.

This is Forever is the Fourth book in the This Is series. Each book is a stand alone so you won’t be lost going in to this but I highly recommend the others in the series just because they’re awesome and deserve a read. The story is told in Dual POV of Caroline and Justin, with a cast of characters from previous books. Expect the full force of the Stone family to make an appearance. I have loved each book in this series but Justin’s story is definitely a favorite. Knights in shining armor step aside, this Knight wears Hockey Gear.

Caroline and her young son Dylan have had a rough life. On the run from an addicted ex who has put Caroline in severe debt and in danger, she tries to shelter her son from it all. His one true love is hockey and Caroline will do anything to make it possible for him to play. So when he wins a whole summer of Hockey Camp from the Justin Stone Foundation, they’re both ecstatic. But neither one of them could prepare for how drastically their lives were about to change.

Justin Stone’s passion project is his training camp for underprivileged kids. On the first day of training, he gets knocked for a loop when he spots Caroline bringing Dylan to camp. The single mom has a heavy weight on her shoulders and Justin is willing to fight to help her and Dylan however he can. But Caroline is proud and stubborn, an amazing mom that puts her son’s needs far in front of her own. If Justin wants to win her heart, and her trust, he’ll have to be break down her walls and he is more than willing. As the two begin to gravitate towards one another and stronger feelings surface, Caroline’s ugly past threatens the mother and child and Justin goes full protector mode. Swoon. Caroline is a fierce lion trying to protect her son, but Justin is more than ready to put himself in front of them both to make sure that they are protected and this hard headed Stone won’t take no for an answer.

“Let me in.”
“Letting you in isn’t what I’m worried about anymore,” I say, and it’s the truth. “It’s the surviving after.”

Equal parts heart wrenching and sweet, I fell in love with these characters and their story. Dylan is a bottomless pit of boy with an amazing potential on the ice. He’s lovable and Justin falls just as in love with him as with his mom. Caroline is a protective mama, who won’t be pushed around by anyone, even when Justin has the best intentions. And Justin, my dear sweet hunkie Justin, what can I say but he won my heart. Swooped in like a dragon and laid waste to every problem that Caroline and Dylan had. I loved that all the Stones show up in this book. Their family dynamic is the core of this series and I’ve loved each of their stories. Four and a half swoon worthy stars.

“I love her. With everything that I have. Until my last dying breath, it will always be her. I will walk with her through fire if I have to, and if push comes to shove, I will.”
